ANOTHER NIGERIAN WRITER WINS CAINE PRIZE

A year after an Ibadan-based writer, Rotimi Makinde clinched the prestigious Caine writing prize for his story; Bombay's Republic - a book about Nigerian soldiers who fought in the Burma campaign during World War II, another Nigerian writer, Tope Folarin has also picked up the gong.

The US-based writer received $15,000 for his story titled Miracle -which revolves around an evangelical Nigerian church in Texas.
