NIGERIAN SPRINTER, BLESSING OKAGBERE SETS NEW AFRICAN RECORD
Hoisting the Green White Green flag! Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare has broken the African Women's 100 metres record at the ongoing Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in London. America's Barbara Pierre and Murielle Ahoure of Cote D'ivore came second and third respectively.
The 24 year-old set a new African record of 10.86s in the 100m semi-final Women's race. She will be leading other 18 athletes to the World Athletics Championships, scheduled for next month in Moscow.
