In a bid to celebrate the football icon's achievements, A Japanese jeweler, Ginza Tanaka has unveiled a gold replica of the Barcelona forward's left foot.
The foot which is valued at $5.25 million, will go on sale from tomorrow after it has been endorsed by the Lionel Messi foundation. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Japanese children who were affected by disasters like tsunami and earthquake.
A representative of the company who made the piece was quoted thus, "We loved the sound of making the 'golden left foot,' and it being gold, it was our goal to make the project of recreating Messi's left foot a reality."
Other artifacts currently on sale include his Golden foot mini, valued at $42,000 and his golden footprint worth $94,500.
