Former Arsenal star, Henry Thierry has joined the long list of footballers who donate part of their earnings to charity. The frenchman would part with $5000 for every goal his scores for the New York Red Bulls for the rest of the season.
The donations would go to Grassroot soccer; an international nonprofit organisation that mobilizes the global soccer community in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Asides Henry's donations, an investment bank Goldman Sachs have also agreed to donate $5000 to the charity for every goal he scores.
