Bayern confirm Ancelotti will replace Guardiola as coach

Pep Guardiola's departure from Bayern Munich has been confirmed by the club. He will be replaced by ex Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti. The Spaniard whose 3-year contract
with the German club will expire at the end of the season has won 5 titles (and still counting) for the club.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the news on today to Bild newspaper.

"We are thankful to Guardiola for all he gave our club and hope to celebrate more success in the current season,"

Meanwhile 56year-old Ancelotti will sign a three-year contract to take over Bayern this summer.

"With Ancelotti we have another very successful coach coming to Bayern. We are looking forward to working together." Rummenigge added.
