The Ancelottis
Bayern Munich coach, Carlo Ancelotti has joined the growing list of managers who have appointed their sons important roles in football. The former Chelsea handler has named his son, Davide Ancelotti as the club's assistant coach.

The 27 year-old who worked as a fitness coach at Real Madrid during the latter’s spell was an ex youth player at AC Milan but went on to study sports science after failing to measure up at the Serie A club. He became promoted to Assistant Coach after learning the German language for 8 months.

He explained his new role on the club's official YouTube channel, 'My job at Bayern is to support the coaches both in training and in pre-match preparations, as well as during games.

'On the training pitch, I explain exercises or just help out with the language. My father speaks German but doesn't understand everything yet. I can speak German well because I've been studying the language for eight months. I like the language - it's difficult but I find it very interesting.

'I'm looking forward to learning many things here as a coach, but also as a person, like a new culture and a new language. The atmosphere at Bayern is incredible. You can sense the tradition. Despite being such a big club, it's like a family and the atmosphere reflects that.
'I felt that way at AC Milan too and it's very difficult to find something like that.'

Quite an interesting one. Speculation is rife that Bayern Munich are planning to offer the club’s current coach, Pep Guardiola a whooping £17m-a-year salary to stay at the club and snub offers from English Premier League clubs. The ex Barcelona boss who has found himself topping the list of most-wanted managers in England is currently the highest paid boss in the world earning £14m-a-year.

He has been heavily linked to Manchester United, Arsenal and even Chelsea.

The German club are reportedly looking to keep him in the club till 2018 with a better and irresistible pay package loaded with incentives and bonuses.

Bayern Munich continued their good start to the season by defeating Hoffenheim 2-1 even though they had to play with a man less. Kevin Volland gave Hoffenheim the lead after less than 10 seconds, but Thomas Muller levelled before the break. The hosts missed a penalty after Jerome Boateng handled the ball inside the area, earning a second yellow card.

Manuel Neuer spared him his blushes, though, by diving the right way to save Eugen Polanski's spot-kick. Lewandowski tested goalkeeper Oliver Baumann as Bayern continued to create the better chances, and their persistence paid off with the same striker turning in a pass from Douglas Costa.
Bayern retain their first position on the log with the victory.

Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng has disclosed that the manager of the club, Pep Guardiola has warned the players to be ready to earn a place in the squad or leave before the end of the transfer window.
Guardiola has come under immense pressure over his inability to lead the Bundesliga champions to glory in the Champions League.
He has warned the players that anyone unwilling to fight for their place should move on this summer.
"The coach has said it several times: should someone not accept the situation, he's at the wrong club and can leave,"
Bayern defender Jerome Boateng said in kicker.

"It does not matter who it is.
"We work as a team and have many world-class players in the squad, but we all have to pull together."

Bayern captain Philipp Lahm, who is set to rotate between midfield and right-back, said "not all players can be satisfied" with the situation but they must prove their worth on the field.
"The coach can only field 11 players," Lahm said. "The coach has also said that all of us have to produce performances out on the pitch. Things can go one way or the other, where a superstar finds himself on the bench."

Wolfsburg put up an intriguing performance to win the German Super Cup on penalties at the expense of Bayern Munich. Former Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner was the hero of the night as he grabbed a late equaliser to force penalties [after Arjen Robben had given Bayern the lead]  and also scoring the decisive penalty kick that gave Wolfsburg victory.

Bayern had the better of the game, but Wolfsburg wasted some of the better chances before earning a late lifeline and then completing a hat trick of Super Cup defeats for Bayern coach Pep Guardiola.

Wolfsburg were flawless from the spot, including Bendtner, who sent his effort into the top corner to earn last season's cup winners the trophy.

The past few days have been a bit traumatic for Bayern Munich's  Jerome Boateng after his infamous slip beside Barcelona's Lionel Messi during the Catalans' 3-0 first-leg Champions League victory over Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou.

The German has been the butt of jokes and subject of comical memes of football fans worldwide. Some even recreated the video of his shocking fall and shared it to the world. His reaction to the ridicule came in form of a meme posted to his 'haters' few days back.

Italian international, Mario Balotelli is one of the very few people who have (un)surprisingly come to his defence.

The Italian posted the above photo on his instagram page hitting back at Boateng's critics.

He wrote: "@jeromeboateng many people take the piss but they might have forget few months ago he won this. Keep it up bro"

Who knows? This might be a subtle sub.

Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola was visibly pained yesterday after  Barcelona's Lionel Messi caused a stir in the Champions League  match against Bayern last night by scoring two goals and setting up the third for teammate, Neymar.

He praised his team and insisted his men controlled the game well but lost their grip after the visitors' first goal. He also commended the Blaugrana's team efforts but did not acknowledge the brilliance of the man of the match.

" I will not say what I think of Messi. They are not just Leo, Barca are a very good team . They were very solid , in defence and attack . They have great players , Neymar , Luis Suarez . We tried to control the game so that Messi would not participate so much . We were 15 minutes away from a very good
result . ‎"

Bayern would need 4goals to knock their opponents out of the race. The Spaniard ‎who coached the spanish team for over 3 years doubts that his team will turn things around when they meet for the second leg.

"You can turn around a one or two-goal deficit, but three is tough."‎ He added.
