Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero will miss the coming Manchester Derby after he was charged with violent conduct by The FA. The 28 year-old was handed a 3-match ban after he elbowed West Ham's Winston Reid during their 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
He lost his appeal against the charge and will now miss City's clash with the Red Devils on September 10 as well a match with Bournemouth and EFL Cup game with Swansea City.

FA Statement on Sergio Aguero

"Sergio Aguero will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after an FA charge of violent conduct against him was found proven.
"The Manchester City forward was involved in a 76th minute incident with West Ham United’s Winston Reid on Sunday [28 August 2016], which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
"The club denied the charge and submitted further that if it was to be found proven, the standard punishment  would be clearly excessive.
"On finding the charge proven at a hearing today [Friday 2 September 2016], an Independent Regulatory Commission went on to reject the club’s further claim to decrease the three-match ban."

The world is calling for a ban on Manchester City's Sergio Aguero after he elbowed West Ham's Winston Reid during their 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium today. The ugly incident happened at the 76th minute of the game after the pair contended for a long clearance from goalkeeper Adrian. During the course, Kun Aguero swung his elbow against his opponent leaving the latter to clutch his neck in pain and eventually leave the game.

More bewildering to fans is that the red card offence was overlooked and he was allowed to continue the game. Aguero could be charged with violent conduct by the Football Association, could face 3-match ban and miss Manchester derby.
Asked to comment on the incident, Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach said,"I did not see anything. I will see what you are talking about on TV and after that, we are going to see."

Sergio Aguero has emerged the highest scoring South American in EPL history despite having a poor outing yesterday. The Argentine's only goal in the 44th minute of the game involving his side, Manchester City and Liverpool earned him yet another spot in football's Hall of Fame. The former Atletico Madrid forward who just returned after picking an hamstring injury in October equaled the Premier League record for goals in one game with five against Newcastle United last month.

Manchester City are about to be hit with a fitness problem ahead of the new season as three of their influential players were all sent home from training after suffering with a virus. All three missed the club's annual awards ceremony, City Live, in an unwanted disruption to their build-up.
But as City's first game, away at West Bromwich Albion, is not until Monday, they have five days to recover.

Sergio Aguero who won the Golden Boot after scoring 26 league goals last season, insisted he will not be sidelined for long. "Sorry I can't be there," he said in a video message. "I don't feel well. I will be back soon."

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has already said the Argentinian, who did not play a part in City's preseason fixtures after he was granted time off following the Copa America, might not feature at the Hawthorns.

But midfielders Silva and Nasri, who had featured prominently in preseason, seemed to figure prominently in Pellegrini's plans for the West Brom game.

Manager of Manchester city, Manuel Pelligrinni has disclosed that Sergio Aguero and other South American players in the team will miss start of the season in order to get enough rest.
Pelligrinni stressed that it is crucial they get enough rest after having played so many games throughout the year.

"I think in football it's so important to work hard, but also resting has the same importance," Pellegrini told reporters.
"You have so many games throughout the year that if you don't give them 30 days after they've finished their internationals, it's very difficult for them to work hard. It's more difficult for the South American players because Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis, Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho finished later, the first days of July, so they won't have 30 days. I think when we return to Manchester they will start their preseason. Maybe they will not be involved in the first game, but I am sure they will work hard and will be involved as soon as they can."

Martin Demichelis, Pablo Zabaleta, Aguero and Fernandinho have not been on City's preseason tour to Australia, having been given time off after the Copa America.
