Officials of Arsenal football club have revealed their intentions of searching for 'another Nwankwo Kanu' during the pre-season playing tour coming up in Nigerian in 2012.
The retired Super Eagles skipper Kanu Nwankwo who played for the club from 1999-2004 won several major pieces of silverware including two EPL Championship medals with the London club.
Going by what Arsenal marketing chief, Angus Kinnear saw during his short visit in Nigeria, the club could again strike a gold by discovering another Kanu.
"Arsene Wenger will be glad at what is present here. He is a man who does not consider passports but talents and I believe his coming next year would produce another Nwankwo Kanu," a very impressed Kinnear said after he inspected facilities at the Abuja National Stadium and met with top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation.
