After what seemed like a lifetime battle between Joe Anthony Ekpo (Blu Joe) and Chinwo Nnenda Mercy; the finalists of the Nigerian Idol competition; through countless votes of fans, ardent viewers across the country or beyond Mercy has been adjudged the winner of the second edition of the Nigerian Idols competition.
By virtue of her victory, the Rivers State indigene will walk home with $100, 000 as well as other befitting packages.

The show which was aired on TV stations for over 2months with over 20 contestants on board came to an end today April 7, 2012 after the duo's mind-blowing performances.
Over the weeks, both have held the audience as well as the judges spellbound with their impeccable voices and spectacular showmanship.

Mercy has thus joined the exclusive club of Idol alumni like Jordin Sparks, Ruben Stoddard, Timi Dakolo and most recently Yeka Onka.
