The maiden awards whose sole intent was to celebrate outstanding artistes in the Yoruba movie industry was put together by the Ogun State government and spearheaded by Tunde Oshinibosi also known as Laface.
Like I mentioned earlier, it was a fierce battle as all the nominees are all exceptional in their rights but the awards if you agree with me went to the deserving nominees. Glo ambassadors, Odunlade Adekola&Funke Akindele won for their categories (best actor&actress) as well as Gabriel Afolayan who clinched the most promising actor award etc.
Funke Akindele-Oloyede and Gabriel Afolayan were unavoidably absent at the event.
