What's with football sanctions of late? European football's governing body, UEFA is withholding prize money for 23 clubs for failing to comply with fairplay rules.
In a statement released by UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), the clubs which participated in 2012/13 UEFA club competitions, were found to have overdue payments to other teams, their own employees or social/tax authorities.
Investigations are still on and the affected clubs have been mandated request the clubs involved to provide an updated situation by September 30, 2012.
