The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Prof Attahiru Jega in a press briefing has announced that the 2015 elections that was scheduled for Feb 14th to Feb 28th for the Presidency , State and Local Government elections will now hold from March 23rd 2015 and April 11.
The chief reason for the postponement is to give a new multinational force time to secure north-eastern areas under the sway of Boko Haram.
"We call on all stakeholders to accept this decision in good faith and ensure the maintenance of peace." - He added
