This news is coming a week after Liberian President Sirleaf Ellen-Johnson declared that the treatment centre in the country had been closed. Sadly, new cases of the Ebola Virus Disease has been  identified‎ in the three communities in the western suburbs of the capital, Monrovia.

The announcement was made on  Monday by‎ Assistant Health Minister and head of Liberia's incident management system, Tolbert Nyensuwah. Prior to this, only 2 cases were left.

The report is coming as parents and students prepare for the re-opening of schools. Nyensuwah
believes the new cases were spread by‎ some infected people refusing to seek treatment.

He also wants government would to create a law that would  prosecute and punish anyone caught spreading the virus through negligence.
