This news is coming a week after Liberian President Sirleaf Ellen-Johnson declared that the treatment centre in the country had been closed. Sadly, new cases of the Ebola Virus Disease has been identified in the three communities in the western suburbs of the capital, Monrovia.
The announcement was made on Monday by Assistant Health Minister and head of Liberia's incident management system, Tolbert Nyensuwah. Prior to this, only 2 cases were left.
The report is coming as parents and students prepare for the re-opening of schools. Nyensuwah
believes the new cases were spread by some infected people refusing to seek treatment.
He also wants government would to create a law that would prosecute and punish anyone caught spreading the virus through negligence.
