Joseph Yobo appointed Special Assistant On Sports Development

Few days after he held his star-studded testimonial match, Nigeria’s most capped footballer, Joseph Yobo has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development to The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. 

A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, said the appointments take immediate effect. 

This is not the first time the Soccer legend will be delving into politics, recall that the former Everton player campaigned heavily for the erstwhile Nigerian President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
