Spain/Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique has revealed his intention to quit the Spanish national team after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“After the 2018 World Cup I’ll quit the Spain national team. I have thought about this very carefully. This is not a decision I take lightly.” The 29 year-old, was quoted by Spanish news outlet, COPE
The centre-back has 85 caps for the international side has won both the World Cup (2010) and European Championships (2012) with the national team.
