When President Barack Obama publicly declared his support for that 'vexed' issue of gay marriage, I'm sure it sent waves of shock into people's spines, as he was once strongly against it but recently he claimed his views are 'evolving'.

Anyways, his republican rival, Mitt Romney had something different in mind, "I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman." He stated during his campaign.

As for Gay rights advocates, they couldn't have heard a better news, they had long urged for that declaration.

Beyond that, one man who married his gay partner in Washington, D.C., was stirred to send a $25 contribution to the president's campaign. So who says Obama doesn't know what he is doing? Infact, a good number of his biggest financial backers are gay, and some have pressurized him publicly to declare his support for same-sex marriage.

According to the African-American who also claims to be taking a personal position, it wouldn't dawn on his daughters, Sasha and Malia, that some of their friends' parents would be treated differently than others.

"I have hesitated on gay marriage in part because I thought that civil unions would be sufficient, I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people the word 'marriage' was something that evokes very powerful traditions, religious beliefs and so forth. It is important for me personally to go ahead and affirm that same-sex couples should be able to get married." He confirmed.

Personally oo, Obama didn't fall my hand, he's cut it off totally. O_o (>_<)
