CHELSEA FC WINS EUROPEAN CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD

Current European Champions League title winner, Chelsea FC has again added another feat to its growing list of plaudits.

For their outstanding achievement during the 2011-12 season on a European and domestic level, Chelsea has edged Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona to win the European Club of the Year award.

The aim of the award however is to "reward outstanding club performances, encouraging best practice and highlighting successful club management".
