"It's strange but I prefer to keep quiet." Luis Suarez reacts to Ballon d'Or snub

Uruguay forward, Luis Suarez has expressed his shock at being excluded from the 2014 Ballon d'Or nominees list.

And really the reason isn't far-fetched, his 4-month ban for the infamous World Cup bite is the chief, if not the only reason why his name didn't make FIFA's 23-men shortlist.

Here's his reaction to the news. "Everyone brings it to attention. As my Barca team-mate Gerard Pique said, they voted me as the best player in the most difficult league in the world, or one of the most difficult. I was also the highest goalscorer of all of the European leagues. It's strange that I'm not on the list, but I prefer to keep quiet before saying things because every time that I speak there could be a problem."
