Ghanaian midfielder, Ayew Andre has been named the 2015 African Player of the year in the French Ligue1.

The 25 year- old edged out Ivory Coast's Max-Alain Gradel (Saint-Etienne)and Tunisia's Aymen Abdennour (Monaco) to the Marc-Vivien Foe Trophy.

The Marseille player who scored 10 goals in 27 appearances‎ ‎succeeds Nigerian skipper, Vincent Enyeama who clinched the prize last season.‎
