Plans for the 1 Undershaft, the tallest skyscraper in the City of London have been unveiled. Designed by Architect Eric Parry, the building will rise 309.6m in the heart of the city’s financial district, between the Cheesegrater and the Gherkin.

. “It is the last piece in the jigsaw. At the higher level of buildings, this is really the endgame, I don’t think there’s more coming on this scale.” Says Parry.

The building will contain 73 and will accommodate 10,000 people, 1,500 bicycle spaces.
The top of the tower will have a restaurant and a viewing gallery, promised to be open to all for free.


A planning application will be submitted in January 2016
