Gareth Barry denies being bitten by Diego Costa

Gareth Barry has confirmed Diego Costa did not bite him during Everton's FA Cup quarter-final with Chelsea yesterday.  The striker was sent off after clashing with Barry late in the game and TV replays showed he may have tried to bite the midfielder

The supposed victim has however taken to social media to clear the air. 

"Seen a lot of talk about the incident involving me and Diego Costa in the game last night. For the record Diego did note bite me." Barry wrote 

Barry's clarification may save the Spanish footballer from being punished.
