As part of it's plans to fight piracy and totally phase out films that promote moral decadence in youths, The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB); an agency set up to regulate the film industry, censor and classify film and video works in Nigeria have confiscated pirated and uncensored pornographic films believed to be worth N2.5m at different locations in Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the the acting Head, Corporate Affairs of the NFVSC board, Mr Caesar Kagho, the illegal films were confiscated during a raid at different home video retail outlets in Banex, Sheriff Plaza, Wuse II, Dutse Alhaji FCT and even from individuals who failed to comply with the NFVCB 's New Distribution and Exhibition Framework.
