Morgan Schneiderlin made his debut for Manchester United colorful by scoring the goal that gave the team victory against Club America. The midfielder heads a cross from Juan Mata beyond Club America's goalkeeper, Hugo Gonzalez to score the only goal of the game in just five minutes.
New signings, Matteo Darmian and Memphis Dephay were also in the starting lining up for Manchester United while Bastian Schweinsteiger came in as a sub.
Notably, David De Gea was missing in goal owing to a 'minor injury' according to Van Gaal and he was replaced by Johnstone who put in a decent shift.
