Lagos State is about getting a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records after it hosted unarguably the biggest ever Monopoly competition at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere on September 30, 2016.
The state broke world record of “Most People Playing Monopoly’’ with 1,300 students competing at its “City of Lagos Monopoly” event, beating the previous record set at the Universal Studio in Singapore where 605 people gathered at the same place on March 19, 2016.

The event ’ was organised by the Lagos State Sports Commission in collaboration with Bestman Games. The state awaits a confirmation  by the Guinness Book of World Records.
