Wales and Liverpool legend, Ian Rush has been named ambassador for the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League final coming up in Cardiff. 

The The 54 year-old former Juventus forward will help conduct the group stage draw on Thursday along with Roberto Carlos Ruud van Nistelrooy, Clarence Seedorf and Thierry Henry.

Wasn't the 2015 /2016 Champions League final played 'minutes' ago?

 Pictures of the brand new Adidas 2016-17 Champions League final football have surfaced online. The new football will be introduced for the first time in the round of sixteen.
The 2016-17 Champions League final will take place on June 3, 2017 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

For the second time in three seasons, Atletico Madrid are through to the UEFA Champions League final. Bayern Munich failed to overturn a first leg deficit as they were knocked out of the race by Diego Simeone-led defiant squad in a thrilling second leg encounter.

Although Bayern won 2-1, the Spanish giants beat Pep Guardiola's men on away goals after it ended 2-2 on aggregate. The goals of the night were delivered by Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski for Bayern and Antoine Griezmann for Atletico Madrid.

‎The hotly anticipated football match between Spanish club, Barcelona and Italian side, Juventus is today. The Champions League game is taking place at Berlin, Germany and needless to say it promises to be an exciting match. 

Although Barcelona are favourites to win the trophy but you know football can be unpredictable. I'm an ardent fan of Barcelona and of course I'm backing them to claim the silverware. Wishing both sides the best of luck.

Barcelona FC's former managers, Pep Guardiola, Terry Venables, Johan Cruyff and Frank Rijkaard‎ will be invited as guests of honor at the Champions League final coming up in‎ Berlin on June 6.

Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner who disclosed this added that having the quartet who coached the team La Blaugrana in at least one European Cup final would be a huge honour.

"It would mean a lot to us for the four of them to be at the‎ Olympia stadion in Berlin on June 6, on what will be a very special day for the club," Cardoner said.
