An update on Neymar's tax evasion case. Brazilian authorities have reportedly frozen the Barcelona star's assets; which consist of a yacht, jet, and several other properties valued at about $50m. This development is coming after the rejection of his appeal by a Sau Paolo Federal court a week ago.

The ex Santos player and his family were charged with tax evasion and forgery between 2011 and 2013. They reportedly refused to pay 40% of his total transfer fee to Grupo Sonda, who invested in him when was young. Barcelona claimed his total transfer fee was $74m and that $18.5m was paid to Santos, and the rest into a company owned by his father but investigation revealed that the Spanish giants actually paid $90 million for the striker.

“He can still appeal that decision, but it is a step forward. Nothing changed to what was in place last year: if he pays what he owes, the case is closed. Our legislation isn’t too harsh.” Iagaro Jung Martins, an auditor with Brazil’s federal tax agency told The Associated Press.

2-time World best player in the world, Ronaldinho has branded Barcelona star, Neymar as the best player in the world. The ex Santos forward has held the forte in teammate, Lionel Messi's absence, mesmerizing football fans over the world with incredible skills and spectacular goals.

”Neymar, currently on form, is the best player in the world,

His rise has not surprised me at all. Even when he was a kid his ability was obvious. At the age he is, I still have every belief he can go on to get better and better.

“Now he has reached the level of the best in the world, he can stay there for five or six years, comfortably.

He could and would succeed at any league in the world. “Of course, there are always transition periods. But when you have that much ability you will succeed in any league in any country.

England is not an easy league to succeed in, but yes of course he would be a success there.

“I can’t see why Barcelona would want to allow him to leave, but if he was to, I’m sure that it would have to be for a record fee.’

Brazilian star, Neymar Jr has been added in the Selecao's 24-man list for Brasil Global Tour fixtures with Costa Rica and USA.

The Barcelona star missed his club's Uefa Super Cup victory over Sevilla this month after contracting the mumps.
He is also suspended for Brazil's first two World Cup qualifiers, against Chile and Venezuela in October, but Dunga says he may play a part next month after being
named as the 24th member of the squad.

"The list has 24 players that we can use anytime," Dunga said.

"Neymar will stay off two weeks so let's see if he will return in a condition to play against Costa Rica. We are already taking another player to cover any unforeseen
circumstances.

"Neymar is a reference. If we were only thinking about the first two matches of qualification, then we would not take him, but we are thinking about every game."

The 23-year-old will miss the qualifiers after receiving a red card against Colombia in June's Copa America.
"We want to see how the team works with and without him," Dunga added.
"Time is short, we have to work options. So any time must be used. No coach would leave Neymar out."

The five-time world champions will meet Costa Rica at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ, on September 5 before travelling to the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough,MA, for a clash with USA on September 9.

The Barca squad trained for the final time in Spain before departing for Tuesday's match in Georgia, with Luis Enrique
taking his full 25-man squad with the exception of Neymar.

My poor Neymar. Recall that his ex team mate,  Xavi advised him to reflect on his attitude two weeks ago. Brazilian legend, Ronaldo De Lima is far from pleased with the Barcelona star ‎for his conduct in Brazil's 1-0 Copa America loss to Colombia few days back.

Immediately the full-time whistle was blown, Neymar  angrily kicked a ball at Colombia's Pablo Armero and got  himself a red card. Later on, he  blamed his attitude on poor officiating but Ronaldo deemed his excuse as flimsy.

"It's not justified, what he has said and done. Currently he is going through a tough time. He is acting very aggressively and he is not accepting anything that happens. In the Brazil jersey, you cannot do that." He said on Globo.

Funny things happen in football! A heartbroken Santos fan has decided to sue Brazilian football star, Neymar Jnr for dumping his club for Barcelona.

Luciano Pereira Caparroz, a Brazilian lawyer filed the lawsuit against Neymar and N&N in a Sao Paulo courthouse a week ago for a total of €8,400 for moral and material damages.

He further explained that the amount was to cover the costs of his journey to Japan to support the team having spent the sum of €3,200 to attend the Club World Cup and watch Neymar and the rest of his team members play against Barcelona.

He was shocked to his wits later when he found out that his favourite player had signed a pre-contract to join Barcelona prior to their 2011 Club World Cup final in Japan.

"I'm a Santista, I go to all the games and I decided to travel to Japan to watch the Club World Cup.  I was left frustrated with the result and on top of that, later on we learned that Neymar was already sold.  I feel cheated."

Barcelona star, Neymar Jnr has cleared the air on reports made by several media outlets few hours ago that his 'dive' celebration after he scored against PSG at the UEFA Champions League last night was a mockery of Real Madrid talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo's trademark move.

The Brazilian took to his instagram page to explain that his diving gesture was a result of a bet he made with his friend.

"Nobody should bet with me!!! The bet was... That if I scored a goal, he had to jump in the pool, hahaha."

He later posted a video of his friend jumping in the pool after he scored.
