Manchester City FC are through to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in club history! The English team won PSG on 3-2 aggregate, all thanks to a strike by De Bruyne at the 76th minute.

For the second leg of their game which took place at the Bernabeu Santiago, Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick at the 16th, 17th and 77th minutes of the game ensured that Wolfsburg were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League. The Portuguese however has become the first player to score three hat-tricks in the competition in one season.

I really don't know the correlation between his team's recent defeat at the UEFA Champions League and Jose Mourinho's input. Manchester City midfielder, who insisted the game would have favoured them if a "good referee had officiated" has slammed Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho for always talking about everyone. (coaches, players and teams I guess)

According to Marca, the three time CAF award-winner said, "I think he talks more than before, perhaps because the English press likes it. He is a coach and he must give respect a little bit. He is always talking about everyone and that is not the correct way. That is why Barcelona always beat Madrid when Mourinho was here in Spain."

Phenomenal Barcelona Forward, Lionel Messi has broken UEFA Champions League goal-scoring record for the most goals for a single club. The 26 year-old Argentine took advantage of an error by Joleon Lescott and netted in his 67th career Champions League goal in the 67th minute of Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Manchester City. The 4-time Ballon d'Or winner has now surpassed former Real Madrid star, Raul's 66-goal tally for the spanish club.

The original 23-man shortlist of players for the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or award have been reduced to 3. (Messi, Ronaldo and Ribery). So, who takes away the prestigious gong? Is it Franck Ribery who inspired Bayern to the 2013 UEFA Champions League victory and recently helped the team to an emphatic 7-0 win away to Bremen; Barcelona's Lionel Messi who although sidelined with injury and has won a couple of awards for himself this year (Pichichi and European Golden Shoe), or Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid hitmaker, who helped his country qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals last month? The winner will be announced in January 2014 at Zurich.
