Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is losing sleep over the club's issues.

The Blues were defeated in their last two games.; against Liverpool and Arsenal and the man at the helm has admitted the team are only good on paper and not on pitch where it really matters. And to keep his job, he's determined to find solutions to the lingering  problems.

“We must improve a lot of if we want to stay up at the top and not in the middle of the table. Conte said. “But my message is not important. The most important message is the one that arrives on the pitch. We must all understand this message, and find very soon the right solution to improve.
“I don’t sleep, sure. I don’t sleep. This is normal. After this game, this defeat, it’s normal for me not to sleep. Not only tonight, but for two nights. When I don’t sleep, I reflect. And it’s important to reflect.
On the recent London derby which ended 3-0 in favour of Arsenal, Conte added. “I got angry at half-time but I prefer to keep my words. There are rules in the dressing room. Sure I was angry but my players were also angry. We were not satisfied with our game, with our performance.
“I have to find the solution very, very soon because against Arsenal we played a very bad game.”
In other news, there are reports that the coach is planning a defensive clear-out following his side's defeat to the Gunners. Players expected to be affected by the phase out are Ivanovic and Cahill and probably many more

Chelsea have been voted the most hated team in the Premier League.

We are least surprised.

Let's face it, Chelsea FC are hated. This fact isn't subject to any form of debate. Ever wondered why people loathe the club so much? The reasons (my point of view) are two and are not far-fetched. From observation, most of their fans are aggressive and loud-mouthed. No apologies!

Chelsea fans are ubiquitous. In a football viewing center consisting of 50 fans, 25 support The Blues, others root for Manchester United, Arsenal and the rest. 15 out of the 25 will shout you down when you say anything against the club, the other 10 only watch and nod in agreement or disagreement. The ones that are active on social media will shut the internet down when they win and maintain pin-drop silence when they lose. Infact they come after supporters of other clubs and remind them of how their manager has failed to produce an epl title over the years. (Whispers Arsenal)  or how they walloped them 5-0 several seasons ago. Don't get me wrong, fans of other club do this too but Chelsea fans take the lead.

The second reason, Jose Mourinho. He revels in conflict. His inflammatory statements and personal attacks on colleagues and (other) football players excite not a few Chelsea fans. Infact, during one of his reigns at the club, he criticized their supporters saying he found their lack of noise (have Chelsea fans ever lacked noise?) frustrating adding that they make it difficult for his players.

Maybe everything will change now that they have a new manager.

Spanish international, Pedro has reportedly held talks over a return to Barcelona - after just one season at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea forward who is currently on international duty for Euro 2016, moved to England for a reported fee of £22 million and has scored 7 goals in 27 league games for the Blues last season.

“Hopefully (I can return to Barcelona) but I know it’s hard. I have already spoken about it with the president (Josep Maria Bartomeu) when we (Barcelona) were in the (Cup) final (when Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 last month) and spoke to all the people who want me there.

“It’s complicated, but I’ve always said that I would like to retire at Barcelona. However, I know it’s difficult because the years go by and the club has the best players in the world, it is a very demanding club and to return is complicated. But I do not rule it out either.” The 28-year-old reportedly told beIN Sports.

The last hasn't been heard of the case between former Chelsea first team doctor, Eva Carneiro, Chelsea and Jose Mourinho. Recall that the issue started when Mourinho faulted the doctor's treatment of Eden Hazard during a home game last season and went ahead and called her impulsive and naive.

The latest development is that the medical professional rejected a £1.2m settlement from the club in constructive dismissal case, according to documents submitted to her employment tribunal.

Albeit Mourinho wasn't present at the hearing, he admitted to using the Portuguese word "filho da puta”, which means "son of of a b***h or whore”, towards Carneiro but said they had no sexist connotations.  'Cesc and I both speak English well, but in the heat of the game we both swear in our mother language. Eva was not on the pitch at that point in time.' Mourinho added.

Part of Dr Caneiro's legal argument reads, ‘This is a tale of two employees: one good (the claimant) and one bad (Mourinho).
'The bad employee forces the good employee out of the job of her dreams and the employer does nothing to stop it.
'The bad employee berates, sexually harasses and demotes the good employee for carrying out her professional duties, namely her health and safety duties as the first team doctor, pitch side.

'Rather then investigating and disciplining the bad employee, the employer allows the bad employee to confirm the demotion, both publicly and privately and to continue with his job.
'By comparison, the good employee’s demotion is confirmed and she is instructed to work and to ‘build bridges’ with the bad employee.’
The tribunal will begin hearing evidence from the 42-year-old doctor on Tuesday afternoon.

Following her ordeal under ex-boss, Jose Mourinho, Chelsea doctor, Eva Carneiro, has quit football. The physician who got married recently will return to work in a Gibraltar medical clinic where she will advise on managing and preventing injuries, sports and exercise nutrition, supplementation and performance enhancement.
Meanwhile her legal battle against former employer Chelsea Football club continues.

Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi has spoken about his future at Chelsea. The Nigeria international who is out of contract next year stated that he has to be guaranteed a spot in the first team if he is to remain at Stamford Bridge. Mikel who featured for the blues twice last season has enjoyed regular playing chances under interim manager, Guus Hiddink.

He told Goal.com, 'I have one more season with Chelsea but I know when this season ends, we will definitely sit down and try to sort out whatever needs to be sorted out. 'If it means me leaving, fine. If it means me staying, then I have to play because one thing I don't want to do is to sit on the bench like I did before.'

Photo published for Antonio Conte free to join Chelsea after deciding to step down as Italy coach

Chelsea managerial target, Antonio Conte is to leave his post as Italy coach after Euro 2016 leaving him free to join the Blues.  Carlo Tavecchio of the FIGC confirmed Conte has made it clear he will not be seeking to renew his contract after two years with the national team. Conte will leave the national team after the European Championship.” Tavecchio revealed.
Although Chelsea are yet to confirm his arrival, Conte himself hinted on his facebook page that he would be moving to the English Premier League side. “Right now our highest concentration is addressed solely European Championship where we will try with the work and sacrifice to make the most of our potential. Anyone who knows me knows that my commitment will be total. Then I feel I must go back to the coach in a club having the opportunity to train every day. Thanks to president Tavecchio who has accompanied me on a daily basis in this wonderful adventure.”
There are reports that he has signed a three-year contract already and has been given the go ahead to bring his assistants, Angelo Alessio and Massimo Carrera, with him to Stamford Bridge.

Is it just me but I felt this should have been done the week he left. I might not be right anyways. Jose Mourinho might have left Chelsea but there's no denying of the fact that he's been adored by fans and the club alike.

The Blues through their Chairman, Bruce Buck reportedly sent the Portuguese replica versions of the Premier League and Capital One Cup trophies he won last season and a Thank-You letter for his second spell at the club adding that he would always be welcome back at the club.

Recall that he was sacked for the second time on December 17, after a very dismal first half of the season,  and seven months after he lifted his third Premier League title with the club.

With Athletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone coming to join the fray of best coaches plying their trades in EPL, one can safely conclude that the Premier League ( as from next season) is primed for a revolution. I bet no one saw this coming. If the reports are anything to go by though.

According to sources, the 45 year-old has agreed £9.2m per year to become Chelsea's next manager. The Argentine football manager reportedly discussed the offer with his current club before deciding to take up the challenge.

According to  ESPN, a special board outside Stamford Bridge where fans could get their pictures taken as part of the squad has been removed by the club for reasons best known to them. First time/occasional/regular visitors at the Bridge usually pose next to this particular 'Mourinho wall' and have their friends take their pictures. An ESPN corespondent who visited the place confirmed that the board has been removed and shared Before and After pictures. This development is coming three weeks after the Special One was dismissed by the club.

Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by mutual consent.

All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013.

His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.

The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea. His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge.

The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its potential.

There will be no further comment until a new appointment is made.

An awful season won't stop the tradition! Chelsea players, including Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, John Terry and the likes paid a festive visit to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and brought some Christmas cheer to young, sick patients there. They brought gifts and posed for photographs with the kids who were beaming with smiles.
‘The visit is something we do every year and it’s brilliant to see the smiles on the faces of the children when we arrive, especially with it being so close to Christmas,’
‘Having a child in hospital means it’s obviously a really tough time for the families as well, so if we can help give them a little lift it makes a difference.
‘The children all seemed really happy to see us and one boy even gave us all a little present, which was a very nice touch and really meant a lot. It’s always a day the players look forward to every year.’ Gary Cahill told chelseafc.com,

Honestly, I knew there was more to the 'betrayal' statement. I knew he just couldn't spill it to the media at that moment cos (probably) that would look like another big excuse/reason for his failure  the club's recent woes.
The Times have claimed that Mourinho's anger /verbal attack on his players wasn't triggered by the club's 2-1 loss to Leicester on Monday, it actually sprang from the blues's champions league clash with Porto last weekend. He was said to have been shocked beyond wits to find out from a contact at his former club that  his starting line-up for the Champions League game had been leaked.
Hence the statement "One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed." Simply put, the ex Real Madrid coach is convinced there is a mole within the squad. Recall that he said that during his spell at Madrid.
To be honest, any manager will blow his top after such revelation.  And Mourinho who is usually not generous with kind words kept that part from the media, like i mentioned earlier, that wouldn't shoot their rank on the standings up.
Chelsea's game against Sunderland this season might determine the Portuguese's fate at the club.

Chelsea legend,  Frank Lamport believes sacking Jose Mourinho is not the solution to the club's problems.  Speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports,  the Blues all-time record goalscorer affirmed that something must change at the club.

"It has to change right now. Whether it's attitude or performance or something else, it has to change. He's probably looking at it very closely. Obviously we've been here before with Chelsea when managers change midway through the season.

"I don't know how many times you can do that. We had some good results from doing it before but we had a different set of players at that point. But I have to say what they set out to do when Jose Mourinho came back was to have a long-term plan. What can they gain by getting rid of him now?

They are probably not going to make the top four anyway or the top six. They're not going to get relegated I think if we are honest so I'm sure there's a view from Roman Abramovich to say, 'Hang on, let's see what happens at the end of the season'.

"Why make a rash change that can't really affect the year that much and then see where we are at the end of the year."

The Blues suffered their 9th loss of the season few days back and are  one point outside the relegation zone.
