Reacting to Nigeria's 3-step slide (from the 57th position to 60th) in the FIFA ranking report released today, former Super Eagles assistant coach Joe Erico is not surprised that Nigeria is lagging behind .

Erico believes that Nigeria will continue to drop on the ranking unless some cogent steps are taken and that includes stepping up the national team's international matches and qualifying series.

"We have not worked hard and that is why we don't deserve to be in high position on FIFA Ranking. Our sports administrators need to work hard if we want to move forward," Erico complained.
