Award-winning Nigerian Disc Jockey, Obi Ajuonuma, fondly called DJ Obi has unveiled plans to embark on a 10-day challenge to break the Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set. The current record for Longest DJ Set is 200 hours and was set by Norberth Selmaj aka Temple Bar in Dublin, Ireland on November 19, 2014. 


DJ Obi intends to surpass Norbert’s record with a continuous 240-hour set. The event will kick off today, June 22, 2016, by 10 p.m and will run through to July 1, 2016. It will be held at the Sao Café, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria. 


“This is a dream that we’ve been working on for over eight months. It means a lot to me and there’s no better way to show the world that Nigerian DJs are a force. I’m excited the day to finally get started is here. Lagos , I need your love and support so please come through to Sao Café. And all my Nigerians please hit me up on social media. Let’s go!” he said.
