According to reports, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are demanding for an increase in their wages at the Emirates. The former Real Madrid and  Barcelona players are reportedly asking for £250,000-a-week for new contract extensions.
The current contracts of the German and Chilean stars expire in 2018 and one would continue to wonder if Arsenal will be able to cough up £36 million more than they had initially budgeted for to keep them at the club.

Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez has equalled his abilities with that of renowned sports men, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The Chile international netted 30 goals in 68 league appearances and won the La Liga title and one Copa del Rey before leaving the shores of Spain in 2014 and signing for the Gunners.

He told Sport: “I have reached a level where I can compete with great players. I do not feel inferior to anybody. I liken [my qualities] to Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them.”

Alexis Sanchez has given back to his community!

The Arsenal star has built two artificial pitches for kids in his hometown, Tocopilla, Chile.

Explaining the reasons behind the generous donation, the former Barcelona player stated that "I wanted the kids to have a decent pitch to play on as I never  had that. People can end up going down the wrong path, like alcohol and drugs, and that’s bad news for children. Whenever I am there I try to set up events, play with the kids and promote other things. When I do go to Tocopilla, I try to set up events and give footballs just to see the smiles on the children’s faces as I honestly believe that small children are the most important things in the world. ‘They learn from us as adults and it’s really important to do things like this.’

Arsenal player, Alexis Sanchez reckons  Arsenal have the talent to win the Premier League, but lack the self-belief to claim the title. The Gunners title hopes diminished after their 2-1 loss to  Swansea City on Wednesday. They are now 6 points behind leaders, Leicester City

Speaking recently to DirecTV Sports, the former Barcelona star affirmed that Arsenal are lacking a certain hunger and confidence to clinch the title.

“I think we can win the Premier League with the players we have. That said, we lack a certain hunger. We need to step out onto the pitch as if we’re already 1-0 up.
“We lack self-belief, that we can actually be champions.
“I remember a game against Manchester United last year. The lads looked hungry for silverware as we took to the pitch. We crushed them in the first 20 minutes and went 2-0 up. We were hungry and brimming with confidence that day.”  He stated.

Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez has been named player of the year by Football Supporters Federation. The 26-year-old ex Barcelona player has had a great year at the Emirates, scoring 20 goals in 2015.  Also included in the shortlist were  Jamie Vardy, Sergio Agüero, David De Gea, Harry Kane and John Stones.

“I’m delighted to receive the FSF Player of the Year award. Personally, it’s been a great 2015 for me on the pitch with both my club and country. Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the season and it was disappointing to pick up an injury. But I’m hoping to be back soon to help my team-mates have another successful year.” The Chilean said.

So yesterday, some thoroughly foolish Peruvian fans employed the services of some witch doctors in their country to stop Chile international, Alexis Sanchez from scoring during  Peru's World Cup Qualifier vs. Chile yesterday.

Using a tortoise, they chanted incantations on his kit in the hopes that the forward will be slowed to the pace of a tortoise but guess what, the ex Barcelona player didn't only toss the net twice but also provided 2 assists for Chile during their 4-3 victory against Peru.

The 26 year-old also‎ became Chile's 3rd highest goal-scorer for the national team. Suffice it to say he is one of the most respected ‎footballers at the moment.

Speculation is rife that Arsenal player, Alexis Sanchez will become the club's highest-paid player as the club is prepared to open negotiation to increase his £130k a week deal.‎ The 26 year-old Chile international had a superlative debut at the English club last season helping them win the FA. The ex Barcelona player has scored 5 goals in 8 matches in the 2015/2016 campaign.

Top sources have told ESPN that the Gunners are looking to offering him a mouth-watering deal to keep in the Emirates for long.

Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez is set to make a return in 10 days according to manager Arsene Wenger.
Sanchez will miss Sunday's Premier League opener against West Ham after he returned to training later than his Arsenal's teammates following his involvement in this summer's Copa America tournament.

"He came back in surprisingly good shape," Wenger said about his attacking star who scored 16 Premier League goals in his debut season with Arsenal.

"Sunday [against West Ham] will certainly come too early, but in 10 days he should be OK."

With Sanchez set to be available for Arsenal's home game against Liverpool on Aug. 24 at the latest, Wenger could soon have all of his top names to select from after the updated status of Wilshere's injury offered a boost to the injury-prone midfielder who has started just 48 Premier League games over the last four seasons.

Wenger also played down Wilshere's injury and disclosed he should be back in action soon.
"Jack is down, but the good news yesterday helped him to cope with it," he added.

"You can never get used that [injuries]. When you want to play football, you ever get used to your body letting you down.

"The positive thing in this injury is it is not a recurrence of one of his former injuries. As well, the positive news with Jack is the history doesn't play a part when he comes back. He plays with the same confidence and desire as before, but of course it's difficult.
"We have all been at that age where he wakes up in the morning and wants to wants to play football and it is mentally difficult to wake up and not be able to do that, it's difficult."

FIFA has released it's list of the fastest footballers in the world. A Manchester United player came tops! Not Wayne Rooney, Van Persie, Evra or other big names in the Red Devils' squad. Its Antonio Valencia. I'm sure no one was really looking towards his direction.

FIFA determined this based on the highest recorded speed of a player in a game whilst in possession of the ball. With a speed of 35.1 km/h, Valencia beat the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Franck Ribery and co.

TOP TEN WORLD'S FASTEST FOOTBALLERS

(1.) Antonio Valencia – 35.1 km/h

(2.) Gareth Bale – 34.7 km/h

(3.) Aaron Lennon – 33.8 km/h

(4.) Cristiano Ronaldo – 33.6 km/h

(5.) Theo Walcott – 32.7 km/h

(6.) Lionel Messi – 32.5 km/h

(7.) Wayne Rooney – 31.2 km/h

(8.) Franck Ribery – 30.7 km/h

(9.) Arjen Robben – 30.4 km/h

(10.) Alexis Sanchez – 30.1 km/h
