Petr Cech

Petr Cech had an unforgettable evening this week

Following Arsenal's 4-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday, the 34-year-old damaged his Audi RS7 sports car while leaving the Emirates. The former Chelsea skipper had no idea how it happened.

“What happened is I hit a pillar, that’s the reality. How it happened is difficult to say.
“But it was one of those days where nothing is really happening.
“We were just getting out of the car park and talking about the game and suddenly I just heard ‘careful’ and that was it.
“Nothing happened to anyone, everybody else was fine. We were going very slowly, obviously in a car park you can’t go any faster than a few miles an hour.
“So that was the lucky part of it.”

The 33-year-old switched to the Emirates in June 2015 after spending eleven years at Stamford Bridge.

A Chelsea source however told The Telegraph that the error didn't create much fuss as the package was immediately sent back to him.

'There were a few smiles and mischievous remarks when Petr's gloves turned up here, but we made sure they got back to him as soon as possible.' The source revealed.

I'm certain he's not on the same page with some Chelsea fans. They don't miss who? Jose Mourinho has said that their ex skipper, Petr Cech isn't missed in Stamford Bridge because ‎they have equally better goalkeepers.

He was quoted by the British media thus, "We don't miss Petr. We've got a good keeper, the problem with Petr is not that we miss him because we have two excellent keepers. The problem with Petr is that an opponent is better than before. Thibaut and Asmir are two fantastic keepers. My club did very well by getting a keeper on time and not on the August 31," Mourinho added.

Following his switch from Chelsea  last month, Cech Republic international, Petr Cech has added three trophies to his shelf. First game for Arsenal, he won a trophy, first home game, he won a trophy, first against his former team, the ace goalkeeper won a trophy still and is it not ironic that he dons the no three jersey? He picked the third gong today after his side's 1-0 Community Shield victory against Chelsea.  Heard Jose Mourinho congratulated all Arsenal players and threw his Community Shield medal into the crowd. Someone please remind him that everyday isn't holiday and yes tables do turn.

I don't think there's anybody in the world who still hasn't believed Petr Cech is now a solid gunner. Not with the news, pictures from his unveiling and his message to Chelsea fans. Above are photos from the Czech Republic international's o

Ex goalkeeper, Jens Lehmann  has advised newly signed Arsenal skipper, Petr Cech to get over his love for his former club, Chelsea and focus on the task ahead of him.

The Czech international completed a move from Chelsea to Arsenal a week ago ‎for £10m. The Arsenal legend has claimed it could take a while for the 33 year-old to settle at the Emirates Stadium.

"It's not easy to suddenly go from Chelsea, where he has spent almost his whole career winning many trophies, to the other side of the capital with a rival. Before you can have it in your heart to win titles again, you have to get rid of the love you had before.

"At Chelsea, for Petr, it was his passion and he showed great commitment. But, as a professional, he needs to get over it and needs to know Arsenal want him to win things again for them. Yet, let me tell you, that is not an easy thing to get over psychologically. It can take a few weeks, even a few months." He told The Sun.

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has described the club's decision to sell it's keeper to another rival club as a rare move in football.

Speaking for the first time since The Blues legend made a £10m switch to the Emirates, the Portuguese extolled the virtues of the Czech Republic international adding that he was in support of "the owner's decision to honour the player in this way. Petr has been a great servant for Chelsea for 11 years and helped this club to win almost everything there is to win. I always said I wanted him to stay but I understand Petr needed to move on to play first team football every week.

Sometimes you have to respect the wishes of someone who has earned so much respect with his service and actions for your club.

'It is very rare in football to make a decision like this and for that reason I am proud of my club for making it.‎ There are not many clubs in the world big enough to be able to make that decision. Petr's success at this club will always to be remembered and we thank him for everything he did.'Mourinho said on chelseafc.com.

Newly signed Arsenal goalkeeper, Petr Cech has thanked fans of his former club, Chelsea FC for their amazing support through his 11 credible years. Warming the bench for a major part of last season was one of the things that propelled him to leave the club and now he gets a regular playing time.

The Czech international, who won 13 major trophies with The Blues  ended with 228 clean sheets from his 494 games has signed a four-year deal worth a basic £100,000 per week with Arsenal FC.‎

"I thought this would never happen. I but it is time for me to say goodbye to Chelsea Football Club: the club I have lived every single minute for since joining in July, 2014, the club in which I thought I'd hang my gloves and boots one day and finish my career. But life doesn't always turn out the way you think it will.

"It has been an incredible journey with so many highs and not many lows. We have managed to win every single English trophy as well as the Europa League and the biggest of all – the Champions League. Looking back at all the achievements, including our first ever league double in 2010, back to back titles in 2005 and 2006, and multiple Premier League and FA Cup wins, I couldn't be more proud. As a team, we made history together.

He revealed that "Last summer, things changed and I understood I was no longer the first-choice keeper, but I felt it was not the right time for me to go. During the season it became clear that my situation would not improve and, as I know I am not at the stage of my career where I want to be on the bench, I made my decision to move on and look for new challenges."

"The limited playing time gave me the chance to refresh and rest mentally as well as made me realise just how much I enjoy playing football at the highest level, because I missed it badly every game day I was not involved. I have the same commitment to football, the same motivation and the same hunger for success as I had at the beginning of my career.

I love the challenges brought by the top quality players you face while playing in the Premier League: simply the best and the most challenging league in the world. That's why I spoke to Mr Abramovich about me staying in the Premier League, and I'd like to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his support in this matter." The 33 year-old wrote.
