Luiz has been backed to become one of the best defenders in the world by Antonio Conte

Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte has spoken about the event that led to the return of David Luiz to Stamford Bridge. The Italian said the decision to bring the Brazilian defender from PSG was made on the final day of the transfer window. The 29 year-old who left Chelsea in 2014 was resigned for £32million.

‘When we take the decision about players, we always take the decision together: me and the club.
'This transfer market was very difficult for us to reach our targets, but at the last minute, on the last day, there was this situation which was good for me and the club to improve the squad.

‘For this reason, we bought David Luiz. We invested in David and I'm very happy. We took a player with a great personality, good technique, he likes to play. I like to play football and I like defenders who like to play football.

'I think every player can improve. David Luiz is 29, it's a fantastic age for him to become one of the best defenders in the world.' Conte said.

Former Chelsea player, David Luiz has accused The Blues of disrespecting one of their legends, John Terry by not offering him a new deal. The Brazilian who left Stamford Bridge for PSG two years ago in a £50million deal, told reporters the ex England Captain deserves a contract extension despite the latter making it clear he doesn't.

"John is probably Chelsea’s greatest ever player, the club need to show him some more respect. He has been clear that he wants to stay at the club, and they are making him wait for an answer.
"That is not how you treat a player who has given you so much and been a big part of so much success. The fans love John - if this is not handled well, they are not going to be happy.
"I am confused why John hasn’t been offered a new contract. He is still the best central defender at the club and one of the best in England, there should be no question about him being offered another a year.
"I really don’t know what to say, the whole situation has confused me. I think it’s obvious to everybody he deserves an extension."

PSG's David Luiz's poor outing last night is one that won't be forgotten easily, infact, it is still being talked about in sport circles.

The former Chelsea player's introduction in the first half of the game between his side and Barca was a total disaster. He wasn't only nutmegged twice by barca's Luis Suarez but the rest of his performance was woeful.

His mother Dona Regina however took to her instagram page to defend and encourage her boy.

"I have son and I always will! Head up and ball forward! God knows everything!… Who are we to judge you! Love you forever, in the good games and even more when thing don't work out right!" She wrote

Paris Saint-Germaine centre-half, David Luiz who prior to the game between Chelsea and his club vowed not to celebrate if he scores has apologised for breaking his promise.

The Brazilian netted an equaliser against former club Chelsea as the Blues crashed out of the Champions League following a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

"It is amazing for everyone, amazing for Paris club, for Paris city. We did a great game, we tried to win the game. I am happy to be in the next round but we have a long way to go to win the Champions League. We have to keep our feet on the floor.

"My cycle finished in Chelsea, PSG gave me a great opportunity to continue my career. I was very happy at Chelsea. I respect everyone. Tonight was good for me to score. I said I wouldn't celebrate but my emotions I couldn't control. Thank you to Chelsea and sorry I celebrated because I was so emotional." He said.

Chelsea fans won't like that! Seems Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz hasn't gotten over his exit from Stamford Bridge and as a matter of fact doesn't like the way he was treated by the club's boss.

The Brazilian who is facing his ex club in the last-16 Champions League second leg on Wednesday was asked what made Mourinho special.

"He is special for you, not for me." He replied.

And his stay at the English club? "I had some great moments at Chelsea and won a lot of titles. I was very happy.

The Blues performance this season? "They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team." He said.

And on the forthcoming game, Luiz is confident his team would win. "We will try to score there and play like we know how. We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify." He assured.

Oh please, I strongly disagree. There are worse hairstyles than his.
Worldsoccertalk.com has named Nigerian football legend, Taribo West's hairstyle as the worst ever in soccer. The football site recently compiled a list of Top 10 Worst Haircuts in Soccer for both past and present footballers and his name surprisingly occupied the top position.
(The bright green colour in his hair probably represented his country's colours.)

Actually Giovanni Simeone's hair (the second pic on top) is worse than Taribo's. Another shocking name on the list is PSG's David Luiz. On the contrary he has a beautiful hair.(Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.) France's Bacary Sagna should be on that list and so many names I can't remember right now.

Their top ten footballers with worst hairstyles.

1. Taribo West

2. Chris Waddle

3) Djibril Cisse

4)  Giovanni Simeone

5) Ronaldo (Brazil)

6) Marouane Fellaini

7) Defenders (David Luiz, Fabricio Coloccini, and Carles Puyol.)

8)  Rene Higuita (Colombia)

9) David James (ex-England goalkeeper)

10) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Here's what they said about Taribo.

"The Nigerian had the worst haircut in the world. It could only be described as braids, but with most of his head shaved, and then the braids put up into pigtails. He even had the cheek to die his hair bright green at one stage during his career. West had a brief spell at Plymouth Argyle, where he made four appearances. The west-country club obviously weren't big fans of his ability to play, as well as his terrible haircut."

Former Chelsea defender, David Luiz has been unveiled at his new club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Brazilian who was bought for a reported fee of £50 million was unveiled yesterday and handed No.32 jersey.

And on joining his countryman, Thiago Silva said, "Brazilian defenders play for all the best clubs. Thiago Silva and I are very good friends, we understand what the other is thinking with one look and we respect each other. We trust each other and will give our all out on the pitch. But I am ready to help out in any position; it's not up to me to choose, I just play football."

Guess! Guess!! Guess!!! It's a very simple one. But I'll give you clues, if no one gives me a correct answer after one or two hours, I'll write his name in the comment box. He's reportedly worth £40 million, about to bid Stamford Bridge goodbye, and would be playing at the 2014 World Cup. Take a look at the picture very well.

The whole world is talking about racism today. Thanks to Dani Alves' who brilliantly handled a racist taunt yesterday. Recall that Barcelona full-back calmly picked up a banana thrown at him by a racist fan, peeled and ate it before carrying on with the game. That action has not only won him admiration worldwide, footballers and fans have also taken to their social media accounts to show support to the Barcelona star.

Injured Neymar star, led the pack, he tweeted picture of him and his son eating banana with the hashtag #weareallmonkeys. Several footballers have also followed suit; Chelsea's David Luiz, Oscar, Willian also posted a similar picture. I'm sure Banana would be so expensive today.

The Brazilian star on why he ate the banana. "I'm in Spain for 11 years now and it happens since the start. You have to laugh at them. I don't know who threw the banana but I want to thank him. It gave me the energy to put two more crosses in for our goals."

Meanwhile, Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff has approved Neymar's campaign #somostodosmacacos to defend Alves and all black people against racism.

Footballers too have been bitten by the selfie bug. Infact, I think they should do it often, especially after they win their matches, tough matches. Not sure a selfie would be a good idea after a cold defeat, who would pose for such? Okay, it's pretty alright to pose as long as the picture doesn't appear on social media/their angry fans don't see it.

Brazilian/Chelsea defender, David Luiz posted this pic of him and his team-mates; Samuel Eto'o and Willian in a happy mood after yesterday's victory over PSG. "God is great! Tk u everyone." He added.
