If you don't believe Chelsea legend, John Terry almost signed for Manchester United, this picture should serve as a little proof.

The ex England skipper shared the image on his Instagram page with the caption, 'Flashback to a young 14 year old JT. Who would have thought I would go onto win 4 Premier Leagues and 5 FA Cups. I have so much respect for Sir Alex Ferguson and will never forget what he done for me and my family.'

But JT in an old interview revealed how he was almost snapped up by former Red Devil coach, Alex Ferguson.

'I was Man United growing up. You know what it's like when you're a boy, you want to support the team that's winning everything. And my dad and granddad were Man United fans. But my first day at Chelsea I knew that was the club I wanted to be at. I just loved it. But Man United also approached me.

'I met Alex Ferguson - great to meet. During the school holidays I would go up to Manchester and train with their boys for two weeks, play a few games and come home. But one thing that was really special about Man United was that Alex Ferguson took time out and invited me to one of their games and to have lunch with their players.

'So there we are - me, my mum and dad, my brother. He made me feel so special, autographs, my photo done with the Premiership trophy. I think it was hard for my dad to take that I was going to sign for Chelsea, but I had to sit him down and tell him it was definitely the right decision.'

Former England Captain, John Terry  has paid for the funeral of Tommi Miller; an eight-year-old Chelsea fan, who recently died from leukaemia. Tommi was diagnosed with the ailment when he was aged 3 but died last month after an unsuccessful attempt was made to carry out a bone marrow transplant.

Terry and some of his teammates met the boy last year. And when a family friend contacted the Blues legend on Instagram to ask if he would like to contribute to the costs of his burial which will take place on Thursday , he said he would "love to help." Then he
phoned up the funeral director to arrange the payment of £1,600.
Tommi's overwhelmed mother, Ruth Miller said the family were "very proud" the footballer remembered him.

"When we visited the stadium, you could tell John Terry was really taken by him and his cheekiness but it was still a shock when we heard.
"Tommi obviously made a big impression on him and he was one of his favourite players so it's very special to us," she added.

Chelsea defender, John Terry has been commended for springing to action and caring for a

9 year-old  girl who was hit by a car near his house in Surrey.

A witness at the scene of the  incident said ‘John arrived just after it happened and

was at  the scene of the accident with  the young girl.  The emergency services

had already been   called, but John got onto the  phone to local people in the

area who he knew were nearby – as he thought might be able to help her

quicker.

He then went back to his car to get out a blanket or a jumper, and placed it

over the the  child to help calm them down. He wanted to try and make the girl
as  comfortable as possible. Then he stayed with her  until  the ambulances

came, caring for her as best as he could. He was only doing what anyone

Former Chelsea player, David Luiz has accused The Blues of disrespecting one of their legends, John Terry by not offering him a new deal. The Brazilian who left Stamford Bridge for PSG two years ago in a £50million deal, told reporters the ex England Captain deserves a contract extension despite the latter making it clear he doesn't.

"John is probably Chelsea’s greatest ever player, the club need to show him some more respect. He has been clear that he wants to stay at the club, and they are making him wait for an answer.
"That is not how you treat a player who has given you so much and been a big part of so much success. The fans love John - if this is not handled well, they are not going to be happy.
"I am confused why John hasn’t been offered a new contract. He is still the best central defender at the club and one of the best in England, there should be no question about him being offered another a year.
"I really don’t know what to say, the whole situation has confused me. I think it’s obvious to everybody he deserves an extension."

Chelsea legend John Terry has launched a scathing attack on Welsh football pundit, Robbie Savage over his criticism of his form for the team.  Speaking in a press conference ahead of Chelsea's Champions League clash with Dynamo Kiev tomorrow, JT when asked about recent criticisms of the squad stated that he can take criticism from successful players but not from Robbie savage who is not in  position to pass judgment on the team.

“I’ve come under criticism, individually, from certain players and individuals, players I’ve looked up to and played alongside. I’ve taken that on the chin: Rio, Carra, Neville, the very best I’ve come up against in the game. I take that on the chin. When others speak, maybe I don’t take it on the chin. When players have not had a career, played at a really bad level in their career … Robbie Savage being one. He’s dug me out a couple of times. You take it as a footballer, as an individual. I’ll take it from the Rios, Carraghers and Neville. All day long. From others? Nah.” The 35 year-old said.

Chelsea made the dream of a young fan of the club, Connor Ansell‎ who is down with Leukaemia come true by taking their EPL trophy to him on the hospital bed. The players who are currently on pre-season tour in Australia received an email asking if they could do anything to cheer the ailing fan up.

JT took the silverware to him, gave him a Chelsea jersey and posed for photograph(s) with him. The smile on the lad's face says it all.

"Today I had the pleasure to finally meet . Connor is fighting Leukaemia and Chelsea received an email before our trip to Australia asking if the club could do anything to cheer him up as Connor is a big Chelsea fan. We were halfway to him yesterday before training but traffic jams on our way forced us to turn around to make training on time, so after lunch today we made our way back to the hospital to see Connor along with the Premier League Trophy and put a BIG smile on his face. You are an inspiration my friend and keep fighting. JT @chelseafc #sydney" He wrote on instagram .

Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand has revisited the racial issue that happened between his brother Anton Ferdinand and Chelsea's John Terry in 2011. During a match between QPR and Chelsea 3 years ago, the Blues captain was said to have racially abused Anton by calling him a 'f****** black c***', an offence which was taken up by the FA.

Speaking for the first time since the incident happened, the Red Devils defender labelled John Terry stupid for failing to apologise to neither him nor his brother. He also added that he cannot forgive him for what he did and put his family especially his mum through.

He wrote in his autobiography titled #2Sides,

'He never apologised to me or to Anton. And he has never hinted that he has ever had a moment of understanding over the damage his stupidity had inflicted on everyone.'

'For me, the biggest idiot will always be John Terry. As England captain and my centre-back partner he could have saved everyone a lot of pain by admitting immediately he used the word in the heat of the moment, but was not racist.

'I think that's probably what happened and what the truth is. Anton and I would've accepted that – instead he never gave us a chance. That was the betrayal. He tried to run away from what he had done.'

Oops! What could have gone wrong? Fabio Capello after a meeting with the Football Association chairman, David Bernstein and General Secretary Alex Horne has resigned as England manager.
Prior to his resignation, two days ago the the 65 year-old Italian publicly queried the FA's decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.
According to FA statement, " In a meeting for over an hour, Fabio's resignation was accepted and he will leave the post of England manager with immediate effect."
Bernstein said: "I would like to stress that during the meeting and throughout his time as England manager, Fabio has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner.
We have accepted Fabio's resignation, agreeing this is the right decision. We would like to thank Fabio for his work with the England team and wish him every success in the future."
On Sunday Fabio stated that,"I thought it was right that Terry should keep the captain's armband, I have spoken to the FA chairman and I have said that in my opinion one cannot be punished until it is official and the court - a non-sport court, a civil court - had made a decision to decide if John Terry has done what he is accused of."
