The quest for Liverpool's forgotten man, Mario Balotelli to find a new side is far from over as Serie A outfit, Sassuolo turn down the chance to sign him. The Italian striker who was once labelled as the paradigm of the modern footballer has been excluded from Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp's plans and told he can leave the club this summer.

Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali told RaiSport's Zona11pm show, 'Mino Raiola (his agent) offered us Balotelli, but we refused.'

Turkish side Besiktas, Nantes as well as Everton are some of the clubs who have reportedly indicated interest in the out-of-favour player.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, in his book My Story, which is being serialised in the Daily Mail described Italian forward, Mario Balotelli "unmanageable".

The 25 year-old returned to AC Milan a month back after he couldn't find his feet at the English club. Gerrard in his book revealed that Balotelli "lapsed in training and the subsequent games. His demeanour was very poor. I made my up mind pretty quickly after that about Balotelli.

"We got on fine. I still tried to help him and I kept looking for chances to praise him but I could see why Mourinho had been right when he said Balotelli is unmanageable.

"He is very talented with the potential to be world class, but he'll never get there because of his mentality and the people around him. Balotelli's always late, he always wants attention."‎

The LA Galaxy midfielder added that, "He made an immediate impression when we were doing work on our defensive set pieces and Balotelli said to Brendan: 'I don't mark on corners. I can't.'

"Brendan was very firm. He said to Balotelli: 'Well, you can now — and if you can't then you're going to learn.'"

Chief Executive officer of AC Milan, Adriano Galliani has disclosed that Mario Balotelli has changed radically since he joined the club. While with Liverpool last season and previously with Manchester City, the eccentric striker has been renowned as much for his off-the-pitch antics than his play on it, but Galliani insists Balotelli has turned over a new leaf since he last played from Milan in 2014.

"He has an extraordinary attitude, he's changed radically," Galliani said. "He's the first to arrive at [the training centre] and the last to leave. "Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic often wants the players to have breakfast at 8:30 a.m., and he's always there before 8.

"He's probably realised that this is his last chance and I'm sure he won't waste it. His technical ability has never been in question. "If he continues with the approach he's had in this first week then he'll be fine."

Mario Balotelli has been reportedly left out of Liverpool squad on a pre-season trip to Finland.
The decision affirms speculations that the club are keen on his sale as Manager Brendan Rodgers looks to clear his team of fringe players. Liverpool had already indicated that they were prepared to listen to offers for Balotelli, who has attracted confirmed interest from Sampdoria and Bologna, as well as being linked with their Serie A rivals Lazio.

Balotelli was also omitted from the squad for their recent tour of the Far East and Australia.
The Italian striker is only 11 months into the three-year deal he signed when joining Liverpool from AC Milan for £16m last August. He scored four goals last season and frustrated Rodgers with a series of disappointing performances.

The past few days have been a bit traumatic for Bayern Munich's  Jerome Boateng after his infamous slip beside Barcelona's Lionel Messi during the Catalans' 3-0 first-leg Champions League victory over Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou.

The German has been the butt of jokes and subject of comical memes of football fans worldwide. Some even recreated the video of his shocking fall and shared it to the world. His reaction to the ridicule came in form of a meme posted to his 'haters' few days back.

Italian international, Mario Balotelli is one of the very few people who have (un)surprisingly come to his defence.

The Italian posted the above photo on his instagram page hitting back at Boateng's critics.

He wrote: "@jeromeboateng many people take the piss but they might have forget few months ago he won this. Keep it up bro"

Who knows? This might be a subtle sub.

Whenever there is drama, you can guarantee that Mario Balotelli is never too far away. He revels in it.

Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard has accused Mario Balotelli of being disrespectful by taking the ball off skipper Jordan Henderson and fellow striker Daniel Sturridge to take the winning penalty in their first leg of their Europa League clash with Besiktas yesterday.

Gerrard who missed the match due to injurt added that the dressing room would have experienced another drama if the former AC milan forward had missed the penalty.

"Jordan is the captain and Mario would have seen that Jordan was on penalties and he has shown him a but of disrespect there, but he we have got away with it. If I was on the pitch, I'd have taken the penalty, that's what would have happened. Basically Jordan Henderson should have taken that penalty and Mario has been a bit mischievous by standing in front of him and going against the manager's plan.
"Fair play to him, he finished the penalty off, but it would have been very interesting in that dressing room if he had missed the penalty. It's a fantastic penalty, it's a big goal and fair play to him, but it's more than that. Around six or seven people in the team would have wanted to take that penalty, so what happens if six or seven people are fighting over the ball around the penalty spot.
"It's not nice to see players taking the ball off each other on a penalty. For me, rules are rules and codes are codes inside a dressing room. When a manager selects a penalty taker, that penalty taker should take it. It should have been Henderson.
"Mario was terrific when he came on and he helped to change the game in Liverpool's favour. With the pressure on his shoulders, he slotted it away very well and it's a big goal for us.
"Jordan handled the situation very well. He knows Mario wants the penalty really badly, Mario is desperate to get on the score sheet. He has stepped away at the right time because I don't like to see it when players are fighting over the ball. It's not right for the image of the game.
"At the end of the day, what's important for myself and all the fans here is we got the win and it has put us in a very good position for next week."

The 24 year-old prolific penalty taker couldn't really be bothered about the reactions, slotting the ball home was the objective. He took to his instagram page to play down the situation:
"Thank you Hendo for let me take the penalty.. Stop drama now. We won that's what it count. We are a team and expecially we are Liverpool. Come on guys." He wrote

Mario Balotelli has found a fan in Real Madrid goalie, Iker Casillas (we really hope so). The spaniard told Daily mail he's planning to swap his shirt with the Liverpool player when his side takes on the English club in the Champions League clash tonight. So if you're watching the game tonight, be on the look out for that part :)

Since when did swapping shirts between players become a big deal? Right? Well, to Brendan Rodgers and many managers out there, it's not a problem so far it's done at the end of every game. Liverpool's Mario Balotelli probably didn't get that memo.

So, the controversial footballer is going to face the music for swapping shirts with Real Madrid's Pepe during last night's Champions League game between both clubs.

A very angered Rodgers vowed to deal with the situation. "We had an incident with a player last year and we did it internally. It is not something I stand for. If you want to do that, you do it at the end of the game. It is something I will deal with tomorrow."

Why does it have to be Mario Balotelli all the time? The Police are reportedly probing Liverpool striker's racial abuse which he suffered after tweeting about Manchester United's loss to Leicester City on twitter today. The former AC Milan forward wrote, "Man utd ... LOL".

And before he could say Jack Robinson, he received a backlash from some irate Manchester United fans who apparently were still recovering from the shock of their defeat.

They called the 24 year-old a "monkey" and a "n*****", cunt etc. But, he sure got support from other quarters, as some labelled the attack vile, digusting and totally uncalled for.

It is from Mario Balotelli. It comes as no surprise. The controversial Italian striker posted this picture on his instagram page with the message "a big kiss to all the haters". He took it down (apparently) after he was being lashed out at.

We all have laughed or made jokes from Uruguay striker, Luis Suarez's lastest biting incident. But for his colleague, Mario Balotelli to deride him openly like this? I don't think it is cool. And I hope I don't sound judgemental. Well, we all know who Mario Balotelli is anyway.

Coming from Mario Balotelli, this should be a little surprising. The Italian wants a kiss from the Queen of England if Italy beats Costa Rica and keep England's World Cup hopes alive. He wrote this on his official twitter account.

Balotelli might not have this request granted (in his dreams tho') if Italy loses to or draws with Costa Rica this evening or if Italy beat Costa Rica but fail to beat Uruguay on Tuesday. England will remain in this tournament only if Italy beats both Costa Rica and Uruguay and England beat Costa Rica.

Few days back, thieves broke into the house of AC milan star, Mario Balotelli and carted some of his treasured items away; a car (which has been recovered), BB Porsch, gold and watches. The incident happened shortly after he chased a thief who tried to steal his phone down a street. The Italian went out with his brother Enoch and returned home to find his apartment in Limido Comasco burgled.

"I feel empty! No emotions … But always fighting for the few people I love. They deserve it." He wrote on his twitter page.
