Despite netting the only goal in United's victory over Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League last night, Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's performance has been criticised by former English footballer, Michael Owen.

He told BT Sport.

"His movement disappoints me a bit. He just stands a lot. Because of his height he gets away with it. There was no movement from him tonight. He just tends to stand at the back post and wait for the ball. There were a few crosses tonight and he stayed in the same position."

If you know Zlatan so well, this assertion should be least surprising.
So Manchester United legend Eric Cantona starred in a new video for Eurosport where he welcomed the Swedish striker and told him it is the "best choice you ever made… You will know, my friend, that you finally made it home.”

Then he made a statement which didn't sit well with the former Barcelona player. “there can only be one King in Manchester. You can be the Prince if you want to.” He said.

Zlatan then gave a lethal response. "I admire Cantona. And I heard what he said. But I won’t be King of Manchester. I will be God of Manchester." he said

“I will not participate in the Olympics because my last game will be the last game Sweden does in this Euro. So let’s hope it goes as long as possible.
To finish in a disappointment, never. Because I’m very proud to be the captain of Sweden and of what I’ve achieved. “I want to take this moment and thank all the supporters because they made it possible for me to achieve what I have achieved. Without them it would not have been possible. So wherever I go, wherever I come, I’ll always bring the Swedish flag with me and stand with it. So for me disappointment doesn’t exist, only proudness. PSG star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed the difference between the coaching styles of Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiol. The Swedish player played  under both managers during his spells at Inter Milan and Barcelona in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 seasons.

"Mourinho is the disciplinarian. Everything with him is a mind game — he likes to manipulate. Such tricks were new for me — all the time doing one thing to get another thing, all the time triggering me. I like these games and it worked for me; I became top scorer under him and we won the league. As long as it works and as long as we win, it’s all good with me.

"The way Mourinho prepared for games was also new to me. I would get pumped up, believing the story he would feed us. I went through a lot of adrenaline when I played for him. It was like nothing was ever good enough. He gave and he took. Jose Mourinho knows how to treat a footballer, but Carlo knows how to treat a person.
"After Mourinho I went to Pep Guardiola, the big brain in football. He had all these solutions for every team we played against, knowing exactly what we needed to do to win, exactly how he wanted it achieved. We could be winning 2–0 at half-time, but he would say, 'We’re not finished here. I want three, four, five, six, seven.' He was like a machine."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits it is beyond a dream for him to line up against boyhood club Malmo for Paris Saint-Germain this week. Laurent Blanc confirmed the talismanic striker should be fit to feature against the Swedish champions in PSG's Champions League opener on Tuesday, having been rested for the weekend clash with Bordeaux.

Ibrahimovic, who began his professional career with his hometown club in 1999, says he cannot wait for the chance to meet his old employers.

"It means a lot to me," he told PSG's official website ahead of the game. "I have a lot of good memories from there, even
if I didn't win any trophies. I come from the city. To have the chance to play against them in the Champions league... there's nothing better! I'm also very happy for Malmo - first of all, that the club is playing the Champions League, and secondly, that I have the chance to play in my home town against my former club. It will be a fantastic moment.

"I'm not only happy for the club, but also for city. I was born there, my friends are there. Malmo will always be my home. I will never forget where I come from, or where I'm going. I will always represent the city. It's more than a dream. For me, it's destiny. Last year I wanted to play against Malmo, but it didn't happen. I will enjoy every second of these matches. But I'm a Paris Saint-Germain player and I will give everything for this club. We need to win on Tuesday."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and outbursts are co travellers. His latest rant is coming few days after he accused Chelsea's players of acting like "babies" after he was sent off in PSG's Champions League victory over the Blues.

The PSG striker passed derogatory remarks on France yesterday. He was filmed suggesting his club Paris Saint-Germain is too good for the country after his side suffered a 3-2 defeat at Bordeaux on Sunday.

"In 15 years I've never seen a [good] referee in this s--- country. It doesn't even deserve PSG. You're not playing with amateurs." He said.

The comment sparked outrage in France with French sports minister, Patrick Kanner calling on him to apologise.

The former Barcelona forward posted his apology via his Instagram account:

"Regarding my comments after tonight's game; they were not against France or the French people. I spoke about football. I lost the game, I accept that but I can't accept when the referee doesn't follow the rules. It's not the first time and I'm sick of it. My sincere apologies if anyone was offended or took it the wrong way." The Swedish wrote.
