Photo published for "If Pep Guardiola wants a war, then he can have one" says Toure's agent

Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk has issued a response to Pep Guardiola’s apology demands. Angered by Dimitri’s comments about him, the Spaniard today issued an ultimatum to the midfielder saying until his agent apologizes to the club, his teammates and the trainer,Yaya is out from the team". Well, Yaya’s agent has fired back, stating conditions for tendering his apology.
“What do I need to apologise for? Guardiola wins a few games and he thinks he is king. I live in Europe so I can say whatever I like and Guardiola can’t stop me.
“Okay, I will apologise to Guardiola if he will apologise to Pellegrini for what he did to him. If you are a gentleman, this just does not happen.
“Pellegrini signed a new contract last year and then he gets pushed out for Guardiola to come in. Pellegrini was a gentleman.
“Guardiola also needs to apologise to Joe Hart. It is not normal and it is not right to come to England and to get rid of the few English players. When you come to a country you must respect the country and respect its people.”

He continued, “When Yaya went to Man City, they could only dream about the Champions League. The biggest stars in Europe did not want to come to City, but Yaya came. They weren’t a big club. After he arrives they started winning; two league titles, cups and now the semis of the Champions League. I want Man City to win everything; to win all their games because it means more trophies for Yaya. City have great players, but Guardiola wants new future for Yaya, for Hart…and they won’t be the last. I respect managers like Claudio Ranieri who achieve without spending so much money on players.”

The recent nasty comments Yaya Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk made about the club’s manager, Pep Guardiola definitely didn’t go unnoticed by the latter. A week ago, Seluk accused the ex-Barcelona coach pf humiliating his client (during their spells at Barcelona) adding that he hopes the Ivorian gets a chance to prove himself at the English club. The 33 year-old who just retired from international duty has made one appearance for City this season and was dropped from Champions League squad, sparking .
If (Guardiola) wins the Champions League for City this season then I will travel to England and I will say on television that Pep Guardiola is the best manager in the world. But if City don’t win the Champions League then I hope that Pep has got the balls to say that he was wrong to humiliate a great player like Yaya.Yaya is a professional and so he will do everything he is asked to do.What I can tell you is that Yaya will spend the season at City. He will not be leaving in January. He hopes that he will get the chance to prove himself.

In Man City’s press conference today, the Spaniard Pep made it clear that Yaya Touré will not play again for City until the club receives an apology from the agent.

'It was so difficult for me to leave him out of the Champions League, so difficult. I know him and I know he's a good guy.'The day after his manager spoke and in that moment Yaya is out. Except Mr Dimitri Seluk comes back in the press conference or to his friends in the media – because he hasn't the courage to call me, he goes to the media – and apologise to Manchester City first of all, then his team-mates, and afterwards the trainer. 'When that happens Yaya will be part of the group and he will have the chance to play. I cannot accept as a coach every agent (who) when his player doesn't play he goes to the media and speaks. I know how much Dimitri Seluk loves Yaya Toure. If he loves him, show me by apologising to Manchester City for what he did in the papers.

'I cannot imagine in my day when a player's agent would go to the media and speak against Johan Cruyff. Maybe it's the new era but I'm old generation, and an old generation agent has to make his players his job and the coach his job.'Today agents believe they are more than they are. If you have a problem, we can talk. Until he speaks, Yaya isn't going to play.'

 The former Bayern boss affirmed.

Ivorian football star, Yaya Toure's agent, Dimitri Seluk is concerned about his client's future at his present club if Bayern Munich boss, takes over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season. Guardiola sold Yaya Toure during his spell at Barcelona and he's worried the same scenario might unfold again in England. Seluk maintained that managing both Barcelona and Bayern Munich hasn't been an uphill battle for the Spaniard, he has however challenged him to prove his coaching ability with a 'smaller' team, probably one at the 8th or 9th wrung of the EPL ladder and make them Champions.

Few days ago, the former Barcelona boss confirmed his intention to manage the premier League but has left us guessing the destination his managerial bus is heading to. Top 4 guesses in the football world include Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Dimitri Seluk told the Sunday Mirror: "Pep is a great coach But he has won the title at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The truth is that my grandfather would win the title with Barcelona and Bayern Munich because they are big clubs with great players. I'd like to see Pep take a club that is eighth or ninth and make them champions."
He added. "I don't know what Guardiola's plans are, but - after what happened at Barcelona - of course it is a worry that when he comes Yaya will be out. I hope not and Yaya hopes not."

Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure has admitted that Arsenal deserved to beat his side at the Emirates on Monday night.

Two goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud put the Gunners two behind leaders, Leicester City. And despite the defeat, the Ivorian is confident his team is still much in the title race.

"It is a bad result. We lost but the team played very well and it's not easy to come to the Emirates and play like that.

"Full credit to the lads but Arsenal are a good team and it's not easy to come here and control the game.

"That is football and sometimes we have to accept we can lose close games like that. We are greatly disappointed but Arsenal played very well and deserved the win. We have a chance to try and fight back on Saturday. This league this year is going to be very tight." He told his club's official website.

Manchester City star, Yaya Toure has won the BBC African Footballer of the year award. He defeated Yacine Brahimi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew and Sadio Mane to clinch the coveted prize in London. He has also joined the likes of Kanu Nwankwo.
and Jay Jay Okocha who have won the award twice, having won it in 2013.

"I am very proud. To receive this dedication from the fans is unbelievable. Also I want to pay tribute to the other nominees. African football is growing up, becoming much better and we have fantastic young players coming through now. I am delighted and very happy. And as an African player, I want to lead all my younger brothers to be successful in the future. When I was a kid I was always dreaming of being an important player. I have sacrificed a lot. I will continue to try to win a trophy every year, I will fight to win a personal trophy." The Ivorian told BBC

Ivory Coast international football player, Yaya Toure who was recently nominated for the 2015 Ballon d'Or award is not impressed with the fact that he is the only African player to make the shortlist. He mentioned that only few African footballers are always recognised for top awards because others lack the hunger for success. Speaking recently with France Football, the 4-time African footballer of the year said

"I admit that I see too many of them acting casually. You'd say that they're not always very hungry. Not hungry enough, for my taste. They're not conscious enough of the effort required to get to the very top. Of course it can go quite quickly at the start. Too quickly, without a doubt. But when it comes to climbing the final steps to get to the very top with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, there's no longer anyone left.

"They let themselves go too quickly sometimes. They're in their world. They think they've arrived — the most beautiful, the strongest — but they don't understand that there are other steps to climb to get to the top. Unfortunately a lot of them only see the good side in this job: easy money, girls, nights out, nice cars, nice clothes. They abandon the idea of catching the best too quickly. They don't always know how to suffer."

Sharing the Ivorian's point of view, ex Nigeria international Samson Siasia identified indiscipline as one of the problems of most African players. He added that they are more concerned about fashion trends than improving on their careers.

He told Ultimate FM in Kumasi, Ghana, "It's a very myopic mind that the African players have. When you reach a certain stage, you have to continue to improve like the Messis and Ronaldos. But the African player doesn't want to do that."

"They think they've seen and done it all. They come back home with earrings and Balotelli-like hairstyles and not disciplined anymore. They forget they are at a stage where they need to continue to improve."

He also questioned their attitude towards national team call ups.
"Look at the European and South American players. Right from U-17, Messi has continued to improve. When they're called they are the first ones to turn up. With African players, you ask them to report on Monday, they report on Wednesday. If your national team made you, then you need to repay your country."

Hilarious! In a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand of BT Sports, Manchester City midfielder,  Yaya Toure revealed that he was desperate to avoid being nutmegged and embarrassed by Barcelona star, Lionel Messi in the Champions League last season. The football world will never forget how the Argentinian nutmegged City’s James Milner during last season's 1-0 win at the Nou Camp. The 4-time African footballer of the year revealed that he prayed he wouldn’t be subjected to such humiliation by the 3-time Ballon d'or winner.
‘Last year in the dressing room, he jokingly said he will nutmeg me. I saw him nutmeg two of my team-mates and thought he'd do it to me. Whenever he came near me I screamed inside 'please not me, don't nutmeg me', my family is watching. I was afraid he'd embarrass me infront of my family.’ The Ivorian said.

He told reporters: "Yaya Toure is in a period of reflection about his international future. I hope he will continue".

Toure has started every game for Premier League leaders City so far this season but manager Manuel Pellegrini has stated he believes his vice captain has had a heavy workload in recent seasons partly because of his commitments for his country.

His older brother Kolo, a former city player who joined Liverpool in 2013, announced his international retirement earlier this year. Yaya and Kolo Toure are two of the only five players who have won 100caps for Ivory Coast.
